Oakwood Friends School is a Quaker, college-preparatory, coeducational, boarding and day school located in Poughkeepsie, NY, serving approximately 175 students in grades 6-12. A diverse learning community consists of students from six countries, multiple states and the local Hudson Valley region.

SUMMARY:

Oakwood Friends School is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This is a full-time job, Monday through Friday, 7:30-3:30.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to spend time on your feet
• Previous general experience with electrical, plumbing, and/or construction work

This is not a janitorial position. Duties will include:

• Seasonal grounds work such as mowing, weed whacking, plowing, shoveling, etc.
• Preventative and restorative maintenance
• Troubleshooting and repairing a variety of issues including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Some experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC required but will train the right candidate.
